Monash University Clayton Campus, VIC
Details and Impact
Australia’s first dedicated cardiac facility, the Victorian Heart Hospital is under construction on the Monash University Clayton campus. The building is designed to improve health and wellbeing outcomes by maximising natural light, through creating a strong connection to the outdoors. The building’s environmental impact is minimised using natural climate conditions, enabling resilient and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems. The use of locally sourced materials further reducing the building’s carbon footprint. This project has a Local Content Commitment, Major Project Skills Guarantee Requirement and Indigenous Employment Target.
